Children

We love children at Christ Church! Through relevant and meaningful discipleship programs, to inter-generational worship, quality after-school and holiday camps, and fun sports programs, we want to help children grow on their journey to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.

Pastor Monique McBride, pastor to schools and families, leads the Christ Church children's ministry. If you have  questions or want to volunteer with the program, please click here or call her at 954.771.7300.

Nursery

The Christ Church nursery on the Fort Lauderdale Campus is open to children under age 3 on Sunday mornings. The nursery is located in the building just east of the Fort Lauderdale Sanctuary.  It is also open during many midweek events. If you have questions, please click here to contact Kerry Zimmer, assistant director of Crosswalk, or call her at 954.771.7300 if you have questions.

Crosswalk

crosswalk-logo-150-by-100.pngOn Sunday mornings on the Fort Lauderdale Campus, children age 3 through 5th grade will start worship with their families. After a children's message by Pastor Monique McBride, the children will be led to the second floor of the gym building for Kids Worship. During the 10am Grow Hour, children will be in age-specific small groups.  Preschoolers are in the Crosswalk Clubhouse; kindergarteners through fifth-graders are in the Walkway Room. Click here for more information about Crosswalk.

Sit Together Sundays

sit-together-sunday-logo-150-by-100.pngOn the first Sunday of the month, elementary school-age children attend worship with their families on what is called Sit Together Sunday. These services will include children’s bulletins and other kid-friendly opportunities. Children stay with their families after the children's message so they can celebrate Holy Communion with their families. Preschoolers are welcome in worship or to check in to Crosswalk Clubhouse at the beginning of the 9am and 11am services..

The Pray Ground

A children's play area, called the Pray Ground, has been developed for worship services on the Fort Lauderdale Campus. Af the a child-size table with chairs in the lobby of the sanctuary, children are encouraged to borrow activities to keep them busy during worship. At a similar table in the gym, children are invited to sit down and enjoy books, puzzles and other fun stuff during worship. We hope this addition brings joy, comfort and hospitality to children and families.

Worship Workshops & seasonal events

worship-workshop-logo-150-by-100.pngJust as we teach children to read and write, we must also teach them how to worship, such as, why we receive Holy Communion, why we give weekly offering to God and other important parts of Christian worship. Worship Workshops are interactive experiences for the whole family in the fellowship halls.  Click here to learn about seasonal Worship Workshops.
