Sunday Grow Groups

10-11am every Sunday is the Grow Hour, when Christ Church offers Grow Groups for worshipers of all ages.

The Grow Hour is an intentional time of faith formation when worshipers can take their next steps in faith and foster deeper community. Members, friends and guests are encouraged to attend a Grow Group before or after attending the worship service of their choice.

If you're interested in attending a class after the Grow semester begins, check out Digging Deeper, formerly known as the Pastor's Message Study. It goes deeper into the weekend message with Pastor Brett Opalinski.

Note: Christ Church also offers groups and classes during the week. Please click here to view the current and ongoing offerings.

  • suspended Engaging the Gospel of Luke
    Breakout Room 1

The purpose of studying the Bible is more than gaining information. It is about engagement. When we understand the biblical story and connect it to our story, we meet a personal God who enters individual lives and begins a creative work from the inside out. In this study will engage the story of Jesus as told in the gospel of Luke. Through the eight sessions you will learn how God uses Scripture to speak to you and transform your life. Pastor Josh Beaty leads.

  • suspended Half Truths | a Refresh & Renew study
    Adult Rehearsal Room

This group will study Half Truths by Adam Hamilton. Half-truths are simple phrases. They sound Christian -- like something you might find in the Bible. We've all heard these words. Maybe we've said them. They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways. In this study you will search for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clich├ęs to the message and ministry of Jesus. The cliches include "Everything happens for a reason," "God helps those who help themselves;" "God won't give you more than you can handle;" "God said it, I believe it, that settles it;" and "Love the sinner, hate the sin." Connie Bookholt leads.

  • suspended Defining Moments
    fellowship halls 2-3

Life is full of defining moments. These moments mark key points along your life's journey. A defining moment happens when you come face-to-face with a truth that invites you to change the way you live. It demands that you make a decision, and regardless of the choice you make, you will never be the same. In this video study, author Andy Stanley examines several such moments as depicted in the lives of people from scripture.
