OPENING SONG

Praise Band led by Jason Campbell, director of music ministry
This is Amazing Grace
| arr. Josh Farro, Jeremy Riddle, and Phil Wickham

Who breaks the power of sin and darkness?
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger?
The king of glory, the king above all kings

Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder?
And leaves us breathless in awe and wonder?
The king of glory, the king above all kings

(Yeah) (Oh) This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That you would take my place
That you would bear my cross
You laid down your life
That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for all that you’ve done for me

Who brings our chaos back into order?
Who makes the orphans a son and daughter?
The king of glory, the king of glory

Who rules the nations with truth and justice
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance
The king of glory, the king above all kings

Worthy is the lamb who was slain
Worthy is the king who conquered the grave
Worthy is the lamb who was slain
Worthy is the king who conquered the grave
Worthy is the lamb who was slain
Worthy is the king who conquered the grave
Worthy is the lamb who was slain
Worthy, worthy, worthy

SONGS OF WORSHIP
The Lion and the Lamb | Brenton Brown, Brian Johnson & Leeland Mooring
He's coming on the clouds
Kings and kingdoms will bow down
And every chain will break
As broken hearts declare his praise
For who can stop the Lord Almighty

Our God is the Lion
The Lion of Judah
He's roaring with power
And fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before him
Our God is the Lamb
The Lamb that was slain
For the sins of the world
His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Every knee will bow before him

So open up the gates
Make way before the King of kings
The God who comes to save
Is here to set the captives free
For who can stop the Lord Almighty

Who can stop the Lord Almighty
Who can stop the Lord (Almighty)

Revelation Song | Jennie Lee Riddle
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

Holy holy is he

Sing a new song to him who sits on

Heaven's mercy seat

Holy holy holy

Is the Lord God Almighty

Who was and is and is to come

With all creation I sing

Praise to the King of kings

You are my ev'rything

And I will adore you

Clothed in rainbows of living color

Flashes of lightning rolls of thunder

Blessing and honor strength and glory

And power be to you the only wise King

Filled with wonder awestruck wonder

At the mention of your name

Jesus your name is power breath and living water

Such a marv'lous mystery yeah

MORNING PRAYER

SONG OF WORSHIP

Living Hope | Phil Wickham & Brian Johnson
How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation I turned to heaven
And spoke your name into the night
Then through the darkness your loving-kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is finished the end is written
Jesus Christ my living hope

Who could imagine so great a mercy
What heart could fathom such boundless grace
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame
The cross has spoken I am forgiven
The King of kings calls me his own
Beautiful Savior I’m yours forever
Jesus Christ my living hope

Hallelujah praise the one who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in your name
Jesus Christ my living hope

Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence the roaring lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me

Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence the roaring lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me

Jesus, yours is the victory, whoa

Jesus Christ my living hope
Oh God! You are my living hope

SCRIPTURE
Luke 24:1-12  | The Message

1-3 At the crack of dawn on Sunday, the women came to the tomb carrying the burial spices they had prepared. They found the entrance stone rolled back from the tomb, so they walked in. But once inside, they couldn’t find the body of the Master Jesus.

4-8 They were puzzled, wondering what to make of this. Then, out of nowhere it seemed, two men, light cascading over them, stood there. The women were awestruck and bowed down in worship. The men said, “Why are you looking for the Living One in a cemetery? He is not here, but raised up. Remember how he told you when you were still back in Galilee that he had to be handed over to sinners, be killed on a cross, and in three days rise up?” Then they remembered Jesus’ words.

9-11 They left the tomb and broke the news of all this to the Eleven and the rest. Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them kept telling these things to the apostles, but the apostles didn’t believe a word of it, thought they were making it all up.

12 But Peter jumped to his feet and ran to the tomb. He stooped to look in and saw a few grave clothes, that’s all. He walked away puzzled, shaking his head.

These are the words of God for us, the people of God. Thanks be to God.
