What to expect

We’re so glad you’re here. You’re invited to be a part of this community of people who are committed to reflecting the love, hope and joy of Jesus Christ to our community. As you navigate this site, we trust you will discover your meaningful way to connect.

Who is welcome at Christ Church?

Jesus said, “For everyone who asks, receives.  Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:8)

All who seek this way of Jesus are welcome at Christ Church United Methodist, regardless of race, ethnicity, creed, socio-economic level, age, gender, marital status, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic. We affirm that you are a beloved child of God.

When you visit, we believe it is God’s welcoming grace inviting and nudging you home. We are honored to be pilgrims with you on this journey of life and will do our best to reflect the Kingdom of God in our words, actions and attitudes.

What are the services like?

We offer three Sunday worship opportunities, each with the same message but different styles. Formal or casual, traditional or contemporary, chances are we have a worship service that will fit your lifestyle and personality. Please click here for worship times and styles.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?

We hope that you find us to be a friendly community; we want you to feel as comfortable as possible when you visit our services. While we would love a chance to meet you, you don’t have to identify yourself as a visitor. We are a big enough church for you to slip into a worship service and check us out without identifying yourself to anyone, if that is what you choose. During the services you’ll have the opportunity to fill out a digital Connect Card, sharing information about yourself if you wish, listing prayer requests and asking for information about ministries that speak to you.

What should I wear to the worship services?

Our praise service tends to be more casual, and the sanctuary services more formal. (But remember, this is Florida, where "formal" is still fairly casual and comfortable.) Children generally wear comfortable clothing. The general rule is: Come as you are! We want to meet your real life needs, and aren’t so worried about what you wear.
