CHRISTMAS AT CHRIST CHURCH

DECK THE HALLS sunday | november 23 | 1-4pm

Join the church family for a fun afternoon of hanging garland, putting up trees, and placing ornaments, all to prepare the Fort Lauderdale Sanctuary for the seasons of Advent and Christmas. No experience required; come with willing heart and hands.


FAMILY CHRISTMAS CONCERT sunday | december 14 | 4pm

Celebrate the season with the musicians of Christ Church and Christ Church School. The Chancel Choir will join with the Handbell Choir and Brass Renaissance for traditional songs and few new Christmas delights. The concert closes with a not-to-be-missed children’s Live Nativity, featuring children of Christ Church School and the church community. CCS ART SHOW tuesday | december 16 | 5-7pm Artwork by the children of Christ Church School will be on display in the Fellowship Halls during this festive holiday showing. Add some light and color to your holiday season with this free show.


GLORIA CHRISTMAS ANGELS sunday | december 21 | 11pm

Learn about the significance of angels through readings by lay readers and Christmas carols accompanied by a brass ensemble in this unique service. The nursery will be open to children 3 and younger. Christ Church will hold three services on Christmas Eve, all on the Fort Lauderdale Campus, 4845 NE 25th Avenue.


5pm | child-led worship service

Rejoice in the Christmas story from scripture, and celebrate. Pastor Monique McBride, pastor to school and families, brings the message in a service led by children of the church and Christ Church School. Music will be led by talented vocalist Zaria Modeste, leader of the Praise Band. The service ends with the traditional lighting of candles and the singing of Silent Night. 7pm | traditional candlelight service | fort lauderdale sanctuary

Hear the Christmas story from scripture, and celebrate with beautiful music including the Chancel Choir and a string quartet, all led by Chuck Stanley, director of traditional music. This service includes the Christmas Eve message by Pastor Cathy  Johns. The service ends with the traditional lighting of candles and the singing of Silent Night. 11pm | traditional communion service | fort lauderdale sanctuary

Spent the final hour of Christmas Eve in the peace and beauty of the sanctuary. We will worship with scripture and music from the Chancel Choir and String Quartet, led by Chuck Stanley, director of traditional music. This service includes the Christmas Eve message by Pastor Cathy Johns and includes sharing Holy Communion.  The service ends with the traditional lighting of candles and the singing of Silent Night. NURSERY | FORT LAUDERDALE

The nursery is open for children 3 and younger during the 5pm and 7pm services on the Fort Lauderdale Campus. The nursery is located in the building just east of the sanctuary. 


PARKING | FORT LAUDERDALE

You are invited to park around the buildings on the Fort Lauderdale Campus, as well as in the area sometimes called Christ Church Park at the corner of NE 21st Avenue and NE 24th Terrace. On Christmas Eve night,  Christ Church Field will also be open for parking. 


SUNDAY WORSHIP DURING THE HOLIDAYS | DECEMBER 21, DECEMBER 28 & JANUARY 4

We will retain our regular woship schedule during the holiday season, with the 9am praise and 11am traditional services. Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, January 4, as the first Sunday of the month.
