Pastor Jad Denmark

Pastor Jad Denmark became the lead pastor Christ Church in July 2026. He says returning to Christ Church feels like coming home, having previously served on the church's staff as director of student ministries (2002-2005).

Jad believes the church is at its best when it helps people encounter the love of Jesus Christ, grow in faith, and discover that they are deeply loved and never alone. He is passionate about creating worship that is joyful and meaningful, preaching that is rooted in scripture and connected to everyday life, and cultivating a church where questions are welcomed, relationships matter, and everyone has a place to belong.

Grounded in the Wesleyan tradition, Jad's ministry is shaped by grace, compassion, justice, and a conviction that following Jesus transforms both our lives and our communities.

Before returning to Christ Church, Jad served for fourteen years at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Orlando in a variety of pastoral leadership roles. He is a graduate of Candler School of Theology at Emory University.

Jad and his wife, Shelly, who is also a United Methodist pastor, have been married for more than twenty-five years and have three children. Whether he's preaching, sharing a cup of coffee, or simply listening to someone's story, Jad hopes every person who walks through the doors of Christ Church experiences the love of Christ and the warmth of a community that is genuinely glad they're here.
