RAINBOW ALLIancE
This is a group for LGBTQ+ individuals, families, advocates, allies and friends working to affirm and achieve justice for LGBTQ+ persons both in the community and within in the life and leadership of the United Methodist Church.
We engage in the ministry of reconciliation through
- Outreach, welcome and intersectional ministry with and for LGBTQ+ persons
- Creating opportunities to engage in dialogue, build relationships and advocate for necessary changes to church policies related to ordination and marriage equality
In March 2022, Christ Church became a Reconciling Church, part of the international Reconciling Ministries Network, working for the full participation of all LGBTQ+ people throughout the life and leadership of the Church.
The Rainbow Alliance works to create opportunities for outreach, welcome and intersectional ministry for all of Christ Church. Before Christ Church became a Reconciling Church, the Rainbow Alliance was a Reconciling Group. Here is the charter we adopted then and are guided by now.

Walk in Stonewall Pride Parade
Join us as we share God's love and affirmation with our community in the Stonewall Pride Parade in Wilton Manors. The parade is Saturday, June 17, at 7pm, although we expect to line up earlier. Sign up now and we'll provide details as we get them.

Tour Stonewall Museum
Join the Rainbow Alliance as they take part in a public tour of the Stonewall Museum Archives & Library at 1pm Sunday, June 4. It's an opportunity to learn about a LGBTQIA+ resource in our community.

Rally in Tallahassee
The Rainbow Alliance urges you to consider participating in a Rally in Tallahassee to voice concern over legislation and executive actions that have made hundreds of thousands of folks of historically disenfranchised identities feel threatened, unprotected, and erased by government. The rally will be 9am-12noon at the State Capitol Plaza.

As we observe Transgender Awareness Week, we learn more about being transgender. Plus look ahead to working with the Anti-Racism Task Force on an intersectional affirming library and the Christmas Concert reception.
