Instagram is the most popular online site for sharing photos with your friends and family. If you are connected to someone’s account, you will be notified electronically when that individual posts something new, adding to their story.

I wonder ... What would be on Jesus’ Instagram page? The gospel of John gives us a few clues. The gospel writer records seven “I am” statements that help us get a snapshot of Jesus:

"I am the Bread of Life” (John 6:35)

"I am the Light of the World” (John 8:12)

"I am the Door of the Sheep” (John 10:7)

"I am the Good Shepherd” (John 10:11)

"I am the Resurrection and the Life” (John 11:25)

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6)

"I am the True Vine” (John 15:1)

As you look at the list above, which “I am” statements address what you need in your life today?

This Sunday we begin a four-week sermon series, Jesus: Who He Was, What He Did, What He Said, and Why It Matters. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God, has impacted our world more than any other person who ever lived. This Sunday we will take a look at two scriptures from the Old Testament that will help us understand the identity of Jesus.
