Our message on this Pentecost Sunday is part of the Grow series, "Branching out: The Spirit for All," based on Acts 2. We are honored to have Bishop Jane Middleton, retired, as our guest preacher. The Takeaway: On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was not particular. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was universal; all received the power of the Spirit. God does not discriminate on who is empowered, and neither should we. To be the Church is to affirm that all followers of Jesus are empowered by the Spirit.
