In the Disney film Aladdin, there is a scene where he is trying to escape his pursuers. Aladdin is running through the streets of the market with Jasmine, the princess.

As they stand on top of a wall, he extends his hand to her and asks: “Do you trust me?” She apparently does, and a few seconds later they escape their pursuers. Sometimes life is tough, and we can feel broken. We wonder how we can move forward.

Charles Spurgeon wrote: "We cannot always trace God's hand, but we can always trust God's heart."

George Matteson wrote a beautiful hymn in 1882. The title of the hymn is O Love, That Will not let me go. His words reveal that he understood the challenges of trusting God in difficult seasons:

“O Joy that sleekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain,

and feel the promise is not vain, that morn shall tearless be.”

Rev. Eddie Barber, who is part of the Christ Church United Methodist family, will offer the message Nothing Broken Beyond Repair, based on Isaiah 61:1, Matthew 11:28-29, and Luke 4:18.
